"Long time no "see"..."

Ok, so you could say it has been a teeny-weeny little while since I have posted anything on my site - sorry (to those of you who check). I have recently gotten a little busy. I have become...the "worker" wife!! Yup, I went back to work full time and loving every single second of it...NOT!!! I hate it! I want so bad to be at home, I got REALLY used to being at home. It was SOOOO nice. Well, let me re-phrase that. Once I stopped stressing about a stupid J-O-B and medical insurance blah, blah, blah it was SOOOOO nice! The twist and irony to all of this is I was stressed about not having a job but I really want to be at home but I really need a job but.........!!! Uggghhh - my life on a mower! It was absolutely fantastic to be with my D-man, I just love him so much and being with him for that long was/is - I can't put it into words actually. Amazing doesn't cut it, this was the longest amount of time that I have been "home" with him since he was born and even then I only took 6 weeks off (because I am a freakin' idiot) so this past 4 months has been so precious to me - gosh I love him! Being there to hear the new things he came up with, DAILY, first-hand instead of hearing about it from his day-care provider, getting to choose if I wanted to be a "bad guy" a "good guy", which "puppet" I was going to choose and what color I was going to use first were the highlights of my day - seriously!! It was also just great to be able to have my house always clean and my laundry always done and dinner planned and made and yard work done and going on play-dates, going to the pool, visiting with my other "at home" neighbors and the list goes on and on. I have serious envy of those that are able to have the best job in the whole world - being home with their babies. It is the most rewarding work I can think of - and believe me, it's WORK!! So, there you have it, I'm depressed! :0) The worst part is, I think I took being home for granted, as we sometimes do in life - ya know, the old saying "you never know what you've got til' it's gone" type of thing. Yeah, needless to say coming back to work has been REALLY tough and "frank-LEE" really to soon! Ok, enough about my pathetic fiddle playing, I just wanted to post a "small" something saying hello and to say that I am still alive and not living well! TTFN!

Last, but not least...

Ok, here are the final pics from California. These are just random things we did, in no particular order, when it rained or when we were just hanging out - no matter what was going on, we still had an amazing time.At the park getting ready to feed the ducks. Dominic and Mathew feeding the ducks. Yeah, in case you were wondering, I was just a wee-bit nervous with these two so close to the water. I kept turning around yelling to Cindy (who was visiting with her dad) saying "Cind, I'm not such a good swimmer!" She would reply with "ok, I am it's ok". Riiiigghhtt. Well after the kids were done with this activity and I had already taken my sedative, Cindy informed me that the "pond" was only about knee deep so if the kids had taken a dip they would have only been up to their chest in water and duck poop! Thanks for telling me now Cind!! :) Dominic really like this little duck - he loved to chase her around and make her flap her wings A LOT! Yeah, this poor little duckling only had ONE leg!!! I tried to tell him to leave the poor thing alone - but oh no, that wouldn't be nearly as much fun! Just me and my guy hanging out in a cave.
This is Dominic and I posing with John Force. Mario is a huge John Force fan and there just happens to be a John Force racing store in Yorba Linda (and my baLinda) so we stopped by to bring dad home a souvenier and take a pic with the JF. As you can see Dominic does not look AT all happy to be there and this was of course was just a statue so I was desperately trying to not knock this thing over while wrestling with Dominic. Good times! I don't know if any of you have seen the cartoon on PBS (I think) of Jay Jay the Jet Plane. Well, Dominic likes this cute little cartoon and coming out of a store in Cali. we found one of those little kiddie rides and you guessed it - it was Jay Jay. Dominic was SOOOO excited he rode it about 12 times!! This is my cute little Mathew cleaning a window because he broke one while throwing a rock over the top of his neighbors house! Hmmmmm - where do I begin?? Poor little guy, he was just trying to see if he could make his "shot" over the house and the stupid thing didn't listen and went right through this ladies front window. If that's not a poopin' shame I don't know what is. So, Mathew had to not only help clean everything up, say he was sorry and make cookies. He also had to give up "his" money ($5 and some change) but he had to work everyday for one month earning the money to pay for the window to be replaced. I have NEVER seen a little boy be so devastated that he had to give up his "only $5 in the entire world that I was going to buy ice cream with". It was kinda cute actually!! :) A shout out to my brother though - that was the BEST parenting moment I have ever seen. Good job Ron! On the set of "Heavens Kitchen" with Chef Aunt Cindy. Yes, they are making...bread sculptures. I say "why do we have to turn them into creatures, just put it in the oven and I'll eat it no matter what it looks like" She makes the BEST bread EVER!! Dominic really enjoying every single minute of Auntie Cindy's kitchen supplies!! Help me Ronda - please let him be a professional Baseball player and not a chef!! :)
