Happy St. "Dominic's" Day!!

I know I said that the next post was going to be of my pics from California but I had to do this one first. Exactly 3 years and 6 months ago, on St. Patrick's Day, our little boy officially became "ours"! Today is/was Dominic's adoption day and because it fell on St. Patty's Day, to us the name is forever changed! We now refer to it as St. Dominic's Day! I know, hold the cheese please. However, it is impossible to put into words the love we have for OUR little boy - even an attempt would surely be an injustice to this wonderful gift we received! So let me just say this; even as he is currently running around the house naked as the day he was born, screaming "to infinity and beyond" at the top of his lungs - who could have ever guessed that after 10 long years of tragedy, heartache, misery, disappointment, despair and financial ruin that such a "small" package could instantaneously make all those years absolutely 150% worth every single second of it?!? Certainly not us. Thank you, Dominic, for choosing us to be your mom and dad - we LOVE YOU! ..."let the record show that from this day forward he shall forever be known to this court and to the world as Dominic Mariano Santos...congratulations"

Reality Bites!

I just wanted to add a "quick" post to let everyone know that I have not fallen off the ends of the "blogging world". Since there has been no posts from me in a really long time, I thought people may wonder. I mean normally I'm hittin' this sucker daily (well at least weekly) and now that I have gotten over the shakes I think it's time I fell off the wagon!! :) No, I have actually - those of you standing, please sit - those of you with bad hearts, please stop reading - been on...wait for it...VACATION! Whuuuuutttt?!?! I know, I know it's hard for even me to believe. I haven't been on "vacation" in I don't know how long and to have been able to take one given my current condition (no, I am not pregnant - I do have a great singing voice but really I'm waiting on hell - it's awfully slow down there!) being without a job and all, was something I didn't think I would be able to do for awhile! Well, my family from California were here visiting over Valentine's Day - we really like to celebrate love in our family - and at the very last minute, Dominic and I decided to hitch a ride back to Cali with them. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!! I was able to go and spend very little money - thanks to my wonderful fam - and had a GREAT time!! I was able to "forget" about all of the stress in my life right now and just really relaxed and had fun. It was FANTASTIC! The only thing missing was Mario and Grandma whom we greatly missed. :( Hmmmm, and while that was fun and all, the party will now come to a halt - the grown ups have turned on the porch light! Which is exactly why...Reality Bites. *Stay tuned for upcoming pics of our stay in Cali. **Warning: it could be a long or several long posts - we had a freakin' blast!!!
