The "Fort"

Ok, so everyone has built a "fort" as a child - right? right. Ya know, the special, secret, "no boys/girls allowed" place that you and your friends would build that was just for you and if you were Haley Joel Osment it was the place where you didn't see dead people! Ok, so do you have a mental picture of the "forts" you built?? Good, take a look at my son's version of a "fort" below. Perhaps this is really the way it is done but in my day "forts" consisted of blankets draped over chairs that were placed in a square formation or a sleeping bag un-zipped and over a table. But never this...Keep in mind I am VERY strict about my furniture, there is not a lot that is allowed on my furniture and if I am after Dominic at all during the day it is because he is doing some sort of acrobat act off/on my furniture and it drives me CRAZY. Furniture is for sitting, not "jungle-jimmying" so it was extremely tough not to strangle him - I just stood there shocked and...laughing (only while he was still under the cushions - you never want them to see you laugh) and had to grab the camera so I could show my husband what "his" child did. Now this was done in the 2.5 minutes it took me to check my bank account, (I know it was this little of time because there wasn't much to look at in my bank account) I was just in the next room. As you can see he has removed ALLLLL of the cushions off of the love seat and the couch and piled them on top of himself, his "puppets" (woody, jessie & buzz) because they were "cold and needed to hide in their "fort"." I don't think Nikki was under there, I am pretty sure she went running when the bottom cushions started flying. There is one blanket off to the side and he added a regular pillow just for added comfort. He is SOOO fast and SOOO creative and SOOO smart and SOOO going to the moon!!!!!

A.I. Anonymous

Ok, it seems I need to start an American Idol Anonymous group. I have some serious problems with this show...I CAN'T stop watching it!!! In season 1 I was so shocked when Tamyra Gray was voted off that I knew I would never watch another show. In season 2 I suffered (along with a lot of others) having to hear Carmen Rasmusen make it through A LOT of episodes and then when Ruben Studdard won instead of Clay Aiken, I thought "ok, a really close vote - I'll be alright". In season 3 I am not really sure why I watched because I really didn't like most of the contestants and would have preferred Diana DeGarmo winning over Fantasia. But, did that stop me - nope. I went on to watch season 4. Why I tortured myself with Mikalah Gordon I'll never know. Ya know, she was the "Fran the Nanny" look-a-like. Anyway, Carrie Underwood won that year so I was ok. Then came season 5 and Chris Daughtry entered my life!!! Please, everyone take a moment of silence (or pant heavily, which ever you prefer) for this fine specimen of a man!! long pause...Wow, that was fun!! But when he was sent packing, that really "hurt." Season 6 made it's way around but I was really pissed this year because they wouldn't take Melinda Stailey - the greatest singer ever to walk the earth - that is when I REALLY vowed I would NEVER watch another single solitary episode again. But did I, YES I did (and season 6 was really painful to watch). Well, I have now lead up to why I need some help/therapy over this show - I KEEP WATCHING - even though it is ruining my life!! I think it's the judges. Mostly Simon. I know there are a lot of people out there who hate him - but I LOVE him!! He kills me - and I'm sorry, insert whispering voice, he's usually dead-nuts on with his comments/opinions. I love watching to see what kind of shoes Randy is going to wear. Plus, how can you not tune in to see how stoned Paula is each night???? I mean I have a contest to see how many times she can slur her words or spin around in her chair or how many toothpicks she has to use to keep her eyes open. I mean right there is reason enough to tune in! So, if you are curious as to what Wendy is up to - DON'T call on Tuesday's or Wednesdays between 7-8 MST. I thought my life was bad when 90210 went off the air...oh no, this is much worse!! "Hi, my name is Wendy and I am an Idol-o-holic"
